Before you start:

You must create and have an MP3, M4V, M4B, MOV, or similar media file finished and uploaded to a server.

Step One – Create a Blogger account. Create an account and create a blog in Blogger. It does not matter what you choose as your user name or which template you choose, but remember your blog’s address. You will need it later.

Step Two: Once you’ve registered for your new blog, press the START POSTING button. This will take you directly into your blog. Go to the Settings tab at the top of the screen and then click on the Formatting link.

Step Three -Scroll down in the Formatting area, and find the Show Title field and Show Link Field choices. Set both of them to Yes. This is important. Scroll down to the bottom of the Formatting page, and click on the Save Settings button. You should get a confirmation message that your changes have been saved.

Step Four -Click on the Posting tab again to return to your blog post. You should now have both a title and link field.

Fill out the Title: field with the title of your podcast.

Fill out the Link: field with the exact URL of your MP3, M4V, M4B, or MOV file.

Fill out the body of your blog entry with a description of your podcast episode, and then press the Publish Post button.

Step Four

Step Five-Go to Feedburner.com On the home page, type in your blog’s URL (not the URL of your podcast.) Check the check-box that says “I am a podcaster,” and then click the Next button.

Step Six – Enter a feed title. It does not need to be the same name as your blog, but it can be. If you do not already have a Feedburner account, you will need to register for one at this time. Registration is free. When you’ve filled out all the required information, specify a feed name, and press Activate Feed

Step Seven -Blogger generates two different types of syndicated feeds. Theoretically, you could choose either one, but Feedburner seems to do a better job with Blogger’s Atom feeds, so choose the radio button next to Atom.

Step Seven

Step Eight -The next two screens are totally optional. You can add iTunes specific information to your podcast and choose options for tracking users. You don’t need to do anything with either of these screens. You can press the Next button and go back to change your settings later.

Step Eight

Step Nine -After filling out all the required information, Feedburner will take you to your feed’s page. Bookmark this page. It is how you and your fans can subscribe to your podcast. In addition to the Subscribe with iTunes button, Feedburner can be used to subscribe with most “podcatching” software. If you have correctly linked to your podcast files, you can also play them directly from here.

Step Nine

Step Ten -To make future podcast episodes, you only need to make a new blogger entry with your podcast file as the link in the Link: field. If you’re feeling extra fancy, you can also upload a picture and link the picture to a video or audio file.

You shouldn’t have to make a new Feedburner feed or change the settings in Blogger

Step Ten

Here are some suggestions for your first post.

1. You can find new ideas for what to blog about by reading the Daily Post.
2. Add PressThis to your browser. It creates a new blog post for you about any interesting  page you read on the web.
3. Make some changes to this page, and then hit preview on the right. You can always preview any post or edit it before you share it to the world.
